Late summer was about tightening the bolts and widening the tent. While Gnosis Pay usage surged toward $100M in lifetime card volume, the DAO moved to secure core identity infrastructure, reward white‑hat disclosures, pilot more participatory funding, and set up the operational scaffolding for Gnosis VPN. On the product side, a bridge top-up keeps cashback humming while a larger incentive redesign is debated. And with a $30M/year budget on deck for Gnosis Ltd, the execution engine behind Gnosis Chain and ecosystem apps is poised for unified, user-first delivery.

Gnosis Pay is on a tear: as of August 29 it’s processed roughly $87 million in total card volume and is closing in on the $100 million mark. Monthly transaction volume is up 57% year-to-date, and the network is nearing 1,000,000 total card transactions. USDC now accounts for about 8% of all payments on Gnosis Pay, with 8,000+ users in Brazil helping drive record growth. May and June also set multiple all-time highs for both weekly volume and total payments.

The plan proposes 330,000 xDAI paid out over three months as weekly boosts tied to continued LP participation, plus a 33,000 xDAI bounty to researcher NolanV for disclosure and analysis.

GIP-129 proposes incorporating Seldon Inc to operate Gnosis VPN (app store listings, vendor contracts, IP leasing) and creating a three-person Gnosis VPN Committee (HOPR appointee, Gnosis Ltd appointee, DAO appointee) to instruct it. Seldon Inc would be 100% owned by the Gnosis DAO Operational Foundation (Cayman). The budget includes up to $5,110 for incorporation and an estimated $53,232/year in ops.

Sunsetting Hashi: Bridge Deprecation and Migration Guidance

We’re deprecating the Hashi bridge to streamline to a smaller set of actively maintained, audited bridging paths and reduce the attack surface. New deposits are being disabled and the UI will be wound down, but all existing funds remain safe and can be withdrawn directly from the contracts at any time. If you rely on Hashi, please migrate to the canonical options listed in the Gnosis docs and update any app integrations to remove Hashi during the deprecation window. This is an orderly wind‑down driven by low usage and overlapping functionality with better‑supported bridges, aligned with the DAO’s broader push to harden core infrastructure.
